Education Programs – BIOCARD Study

The BIOCARD study is closely integrated with the Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. The Center offers a range of educational programs for professionals. Members of the Center also give local presentations designed primarily for lay audiences with a particular emphasis on outreach to underserved populations.

Brain Health Series

The Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center developed a 10-week series on brain health for the ‘Johns Hopkins Memory & Aging’ Facebook page. This #JHBrainHealthMatters series consists of posts designed to share some of the recommendations and practical tips from the consensus reports written by experts convened by the AARP’s Global Council on Brain Health. These reports, and the posts in this series, provide insights on what older adults may do to maintain their brain health with age.

The series includes posts on the following topics: sleep; physical activity; cognitively stimulating activities; music; heart health; nutrition; supplements; delirium; mental well-being; and social engagement.

The Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center has a series about research for the ‘Johns Hopkins Memory & Aging’ social media pages. These social media posts describe Center research studies on aging and memory loss, provide insights into some of the Center’s community outreach activities and spotlight Center investigators and research participants.
